I went to my local Pep-Boys to pick up the oil filter and couldn't find the regular blue one. The box is yellow with the same part number PL14610 , is it just new packaging?? BTW it's mustard yellow

Cheers!

Grips good...I'd prefer black though

Purolator started phasing out the old blue painted one for the new yellow one with the non slip grip. If you look around at some of the other pure one filters you'll see some of the less used ones and therefore still in stock are blue. Same thing though, part number is what matters.

I just went to Purolator's website and they recommend their motorcycle filter ML16817 vs. the PL14610...something about the PLcould cause too much oil pressure at the pump. This is from their site??
