A reminder, for most of us, the 2009 mileage contest will be coming to an end.

Don't forget to post up you pics on the 31st.

I guess you could use the ending pics as your beginning pics for the 2010 contest.

I'm leaving tomorrow morning to ride to FL for the long New Year's weekend and, since I'll be taking that OTHER bike, I thought I'd go ahead and post my ending mileage. This is for the year-round contest, started in January 09.

Starting odometer: 14738
Ending odometer: 23814

Not too bad, considering the FZ is my alternate "ride." I agreed at the start of the contest not to enter my BMW, which saw 28,000+ miles of action so far in '09 and the year is not finished for her yet.

Nice run Barb!

Ok guys there has been a bit of a change in plans.

This past October, my father was laid off from Forsyth Motosports due to economic down turn and change in management. With this the new management will more than likely not partipate in the event. My father was really the only one in the shop that knew about the contest and was the one supporting the event within the shop.

I appologize for any inconvience this may have caused, I know we could have all used a little extra help with parts this winter. So the 2009 numbers will be just for fun as well as the 2010 for those that wish to participate.

Once again I am sorry for any inconvience this may have caused. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions of concerns.

Bryan, this was for fun more than anything, and to get us all out there riding our great FZ6's. While the prospect of a prize was nice, the greatest prize of all has been the memories collected from some really great riding for me this year.

Happy and successful New Year to you as you finish up your final semester as a student and prepare to enter the working world. Best wishes to your dad and mom and I'm sure he'll land something soon.

Not bad considering I haven't ridden all December. Forgot how time consuming babies are LOL.

Bruce, sorry to hear about your layoff. I was laid off this year too - it sucks, especially in this economy. Hope you found or will find work quickly.

Well my pic has been up since August when my bike got eaten by the 4WD.

Started on 22,005km/13,673miles

Finished on 50,104km/31,133miles

Result is 28,099km/17,460miles

I reckon I would've got close to 42,000km/26097miles if the beast's life wasn't taken before it's time.

Didn't bother to post pics of my new bikes odo for the comp....only done about 5,000km on it so far.

Cheers
Mike

Thanks for going to the trouble. It's nice to see folk organizing stuff for slackers like me to participate in (not really a slacker, just to busy riding...lol).
