Why can't I get a registration refund?

I just registered my bike but sold it a week after I got the card and sticker. I left it untouched and did what the DMV person told me on the phone. Walk in and you should be able to get a refund with the untouched sticker and plate.

3 hour wait at the damn DMV for the woman to tell me sorry refunds will only work with cars. What the hell? My registration isn't even up until April 30th. Anyone have any advice?

Yes I can go to another DMV but I'm not sure if its worth waiting.
Eric, not quite. Even after I sell the FZ I will still need quite a bit of cash but I'm shocked I haven't even gotten spammed on Craig's list for the FZ. Lol.
