Hi Guys,

I often find that my backpack and clothing smell like exhaust when I commute to work, I always put my gear in a plastic bag to stop the smell getting to my work clothing.

Question - does anyone know of a backpack that is sealed sufficiently to prevent the exhaust smell from getting into the contents?

Thanks
Matthew

i don't have any problems with that now that I fitted a luggage rack and top box

maybe a tank bag would be better?

It's a manly smell. =)

But seriously, +1 on a reasonably sized tank bag, maybe something like the Icon Urban (which can convert to a Backpack I believe) might do the trick.

I have the Givi E21's for sidecases and the 37 for the topcase, no issues with smell unless what I put in smells to begin with :BLAA:

Perhaps you should tune your bike?? Just saying, it might be a tad on the rich side! You still have a CAT and what mods if any?

I have a kriega us20 waterproof tailbag and have 0 issues. Drove for 6 hours from st louis to wisconsin the other day and my clothes were as fresh as when I put them in. Is it possible u have an exhaust leak?

I too find myself wondering if anything is wrong with exhaust or bike. I wear a backpack whenever I ride and have never noticed this. However a waterproof bag would probably be best bet because it will be sealed.

Good luvk
