I sold my 1976 Yamaha XS650 Heritage Special with 2700 original miles for my FZ6. I actually sold it to a private party then bought my FZ. Those were pretty cool motorcycles back then. And way cheap compaired to now days. :thumbup:

I loved my XS400. I built it from the ground up (after figuring out what was under all the pigeon poo in all the boxes I'd been given...lol.) and rode it every day....lol...just like this one:thumbup:

I like all the old vintage bikes, especially those from the 70's. Something about those old Cafe Racer bikes I just love. :thumbup:
I stole them off of Yamaha's site lol... anyway yeah I love the newer bikes but have a huge appreciation for the older ones too!!!

We currently have and just rebuilt a 1975 RD125:
Pic is what it looks like but it is a more fire red...
We also have and in the process of fixing up a mid to late 1970's XS 650 B.

Clarity: it isn't mine, but it spent a long time in my possession, and I rode it frequently enough to keep it charged, etc. Those big FJs are fantastic. I hated to see it move on to another home and darn near bought it myself.

very hard to find a decent one with the motor still in it... many of them got parted out for dwarf/legends race cars............

So if I rode Yamahas when they were new that are 20 years older than the bike at the beginning of the thread, does that make me classic or antique???
