I'm in need of a new oil plug. I have Givi engine guards and they get in the way of taking out the OEM one. Since I have to buy one anyway do they make ones that are shorter than the original?
Thanks!

Are you referring to reducing the depth of the head of the bolt? I doubt it, I'm thinking that you need to have a certain amount of depth to properly torque the 17 mm bolt back onto the bike. There is a crush washer that you could probably leave out, but not worth it since the difference will be so minimal.

I think there is a few threads buried in the forum about the same issue. IIRC, that's one of the trade offs with having engine guards on the FZ6. I agree with Kenny, don't modify the drain plug bolt. I have the Power Bronze lower cowl, I have to remove that to change my oil. Not a big deal, I take it as one extra step in the process.
