Extra H/W found after install. Help.

Short and sweet, came home to find my gas tank removed because it got dented from being tipped over...step mom in new truck :rant: anyways, after repairs found this after all said and done, and dont know where it goes. Dont even remember removing it. Any ideas?

I remember someone asking about this a while back, turned out to be the little buffer under the seat, it locates within two holes next to the seat latch.
