I felt sleepy at work today...........

Great pic.

We're surrounded by kangaroos here, not koalas.

They come up to the house every night to drink out of the bird bath.

Maybe they think they're Emus.

I'd love to live somewhere that 'roos liked that much....except for the 'roos. I wouldn't be able to ride at night.
 
That is so cool Mick....
I'll share with you the critters we have roaming around my house. I think this big guy was out looking for his lost string of lights!

Never tried Emu, but tried croc, and buffalo..both left me cold!

Barramundi is pretty bloody nice off the barby!

hehe, talking of emu's. A mate at work gave one of the electricians out there a nickname... baby-emu-head. This guy looks like one, (I swear), and I crack up each time he comes out to fix something now.

Just like that, his eyes are really widely spaced, a largish nose and he has blonde highlights in his hair.. (me cracks up laughing again)

Sorry But I have to disagree :(

I refuse to roo or emu for that exact reason. But that's just me.

As for wild life :eek: My brother had a wallaby launch thru his front wheel at 3 am & didn't even see it coming. 2 km from home & thinkin of bed........................ next thing he was flyin :eek:

Poor bugger hit the road & slid breaking his arm in the process. He jumped up & started to dry wretch. He described it as the worst smell on earth.
He grabbed his arm & walked towards his bike but the smell was still there. The smell kept assaulting his sense no matter how far away he walked when he realised the wallaby's guts had coated his pants & jacket.

He gave me the wake up call & I made him sit in the back of the ute with his bike for the short drive home.

Gonna be a hot summer here. The snakes are already out. Lopped the heads off 2 red belly black snakes mowing the lawn since the start of November. Normally I hit em with the hose & they take off into the bush but with my daughter running around now im not taking any chances.
 
We have a huge roo problem here (we have a 8.5 acre property in Chittering)- as much as I love them, they can be a little "dumb".

My husband has hit one just up from our house on the way to work, on his bike. Luckily, he only just nudged him. Could have been a lot worse.
