Thanks John! My strategy was to be patient, yet aggressive at certain times during the tournament (early on and at the final table)... I am not sure how exactly, but it worked!

The only time I ever gamble is when I pass a roulette table with three or four blacks/reds in a row. I would easily lose $100 real fast in poker and the way I see it that's a night of drinking right there.
