Can't wait to see if it's any quieter than my Scorpion 700.

It is quieter. I made the same switch a couple years ago.. The shoei is sooo much better than the scorpion and HJC's were, at least for me.

Funny, I went to the dealer ta buy a Scorpion 700, but didn't like the way it fit, and ended up with an R1100. (Which fit my melon perfectly)
My only complain with the SHOEI is that it fogs up easy, but a fog city cured that. I also go me a iridium face shield; really cuts the glare.

It seems pretty quite to me; (I don't use ear plugs) the face shield seals tight to the lid and keeps rain 'n wind out. From what I hear the Quest is quieter, but the R1100 vents better.

Well i guess i have my next helmet after the exo-1000 kicks the bucket. I will say that the scorpion outer shield is totally fog free without any treatments to it after 2 years.

I have that exact helmet. Same colors and everything. Seems pretty quiet to me, awesome helmet in my opinion  but I also listen to music 90% of the time I ride so what do I know?

Congratulations! Those are great graphics!
I'm on my second RF1100. You won't be disappointed! :D

I went from a Scorpion 1000 to a RF1100. Best helmet I've owned. Quieter and no hot spots which both my Scorpion 700 and 1000 had to some degree. The RF is also considerable lighter. One thing I did notice is the Shoei will scratch and mark much easier then the Scorpion helmets. After 2 weeks of riding with the Shoei I had a few rock chips and one small scratch that I buffed out where the Scorpion still looks like new after two years of use.

Nice helmet Erci. I have the RF-1100 Enigma. I too came from Scorpion helmets.

A couple observations about the RF-1100 after a full year of riding including a 10 day trip.
1. Not the quietest helmet you will ever put on. When wearing earlplugs, which I know you always would, it's a non issue.
2. The shield can actually be micro adjusted with the screws on each side. Right out of the box it had an annoying high pitch whistling at speed.
3. Venting is pretty good. Much better I would say than both the Exo400's and Exo700's.
4. You will miss the no fog shield on your Scorpion!

All in all a super high quality lid. Very happy I went with it.

Yup.. noticed this. I used the paper around the seal method and there was a sizable gap on lower right side. I have to admit the micro-adjustment is a huge PITA. Hopefully it's not something that'll need frequent attention.

How are you getting these for 50% off? I'm in need of a new lid since mine is almost 7 years old and 30,000 riding miles and the interior is starting to fall apart (HJC).

Tell you what though, it's going to be tough to find a lid as comfortable as my well broken in HJC!

You have to be an active MSF rider coach.

Got ya! That is nice.

I may just pick up a closeout Scorpion EXO 1000 for $129. Can't justify spending $300-$500 on a new lid to the wife when my old one is "fine".

First highway ride report: quieter than EXO 700 (particularly the complete absence of any whistling). Feels like there's nothing on my head at all (must be combination of nicer padding and lighter weight). And it's a new experience having a helmet where opening and closing vents actually makes a dramatic difference!

I like it :D

Felt the same thing with the vents when I got my HJC, my vega never did much, first ride with my IS-16 I was like, wow I can feel the wind in my hair! :D
