Do You Hate Your Job?

I absolutely hate my job, but it pays more than I've ever made before so I can't really bail. It was just with all this time to myself I pondered if the majority of people felt the same as me, or do people really enjoy their jobs.

And it actually surprises me that 67% of us enjoy our jobs. I would have guessed way less. I wonder what the poll would look if given to everybody around the world.

You can always bail... are you looking for something else on the side just in case an opportunity comes up?

Well most the time I like my job & the customers I deal with, small company and slow economy has it down to the owner, his son and myself. At this point my concern is if the company will last much longer, and on that reason I may not go back next year. Its seasonal and during off season I've been helping a friend and we are going to try to grow his business a little bigger and I should be able to work there full time for more money.. Last year my income was almost half normal and this year is less on paper, during last winter I had 3 "jobs" going all cash. But now the brag this is what two guys did in about a week.

Yeah I have a few things lined up, but I'm riding it out til January. I can't give up the bookoo overtime opportunity, I'm just a whiny pansy lol. Thank you for asking by the way.

Well its January and I'm feeling great.

I just got my 11,000$ federal grant, and my 19,000$ loan approved, and I successfully was accepted into the Electronic Engineering program at Lincoln Technical Institute.

I gave my 2 weeks notice at the job I DESPISED.

And in the last month, I started my own electronics business. I fix or part out broken electronics, and am in contact with a number of manufacturers to "stock my shelves" of my online store. In the past 2 weeks, I brought in more money than an entire month at my "real" job.

So needless to say, thanks to you guys I have seen the light and made the necessary change for me to not go COMPLETELY INSANE.

I work for myself now, debts are paid, income is rolling, and I love doing what I do.

THANK YOU FZ6 COMMUNITY for your wise input.

I got lucky. I fell into something I both enjoy and am good at. Computers.

Currently I am a database analyst and support specialist for LiveNation/Ticketmaster. And before you ask...No...I can't get you tickets to that next big show. But I can get myself tickets. And that's dripping with awesome.

I've done hardware and software support all over the industry and have worked for a lot of big names. That's one of the things I like most about what I do. If I stay sharp and current and keep learning new things, I can pretty much write my own ticket just about anywhere.

I've worked in an IT capacity for large international internet services and telephone companies (MindSpring/EarthLink/at&t/Bell Canada), as well as international shipping and logistics companies (UPS), computer hardware manufacturers (Apple/2Wire/Dell/IBM/Lexmark), hospitals(Samaritan Health), hotels (Hyatt/BestWestern/Wyndham)...and now the foremost ticketing agent, talent agent and concert promoter in the world.

My career has brought me to 15 states in the US and 3.5 countries. The .5 is The Bahamas...which is a US province, but is lot like another country. Hotel server went down and there arent a lot of techs in The Bahamas so i got a week long working vacay.

I will never complain about my job as long as it is in computers. I mean...I could have to ask if you want frys with that, right? ;) :D

Despise my job.
Treated like crap.
Have a family to support though so have to stick at it.
Permanently looking for another job…

I’m a biz owner and I love my job! I think my employees like me too, as they’re constantly encouraging me to go away on long motorcycle trips. :)

I'm iffy. I kind of like my job, because I get to drive to places I've never been and get to find all sorts of nice roads, but like all jobs it has its negatives.

I drive an armored truck.

I love my job !!! I do something only 1% of Americans can or will do !! I defend the country I love !!! I travel the globe, I work with great people, and stupid people alike. I stay constantly physically fit (regardless of whether I want to or not) :)), and no two days are the same.
Con: I deploy away from my family, friends, and my bike for a year at a time. :(
