Well, I got to the BP Crafers at 1230, and at precisely 1330, I thought to myself, this isn't going to happen and left. (feeling a bit like a school girl stood up for prom!)

LOL!

Hopefully Wolfman just slept in and didn't crash on the way!

Next time, we'll swap numbers eh?

LOL

Cheers,
Rick

EDIT: I did see a red Triumph, naked, riding two-up as I left. That wasn't you was it Wolfman? (I also saw a naked red FZ6 go across the overpass from my vantage point at the corner of the BP driveway, but he didn't come toward the BP, and the attendant confirmed there was no other BP nearby!)

Buggar for ya Mave :( Being stood up for a ride sucks - WA Fizzers died because we all live too far away from each other - I just ride with member Prebstar now (well, he is my hubby :D) Bound to be a good excuse for Wolfman not turning up though. He never turns down a ride.

Red Triumph and red FZ6 - no Jamies. He has black FZ with an "evil/creepy" headlight on it :scared:

Well, it is with great embarrasment that i can say i FAAAARKED UP! I am so sorry!

I had an incredibly busy night at work on Wednesday night.....we had over 4000 people through the door at the club, and i was playing tunes till 6am in the morning! And had worked from 8am the previous morning....

When i got home, i asked my partner to wake me at 11....but that never happened! Not for want of trying...my girl rang me 46 times!!! I just didnt wake up...till like 3pm in the afternoon!

I was then back in bed by 8.30pm last night!

So, once again, i am sorry....and Kazza is right, i never ever turn down an opportunity for a ride!

So sorry you had to wait around.....that sucks!

will PM you my number, and next time i will definitely be there! with bells on!

And yes, i was destroyed yesterday...just exhausted!

:(

No worries at all man, I wasn't whinging, I was more concerned for your safety.

As a fellow night shift worker, I know what it's like - and I'm actually glad you slept, rather than get woken just for a ride with me. (if you're anything like me, that tired and you wouldn't have enjoyed the ride/company anyway!)

So, once again, i am sorry....

Seriously no need to apologise, much happier you slept when you needed it.

So sorry you had to wait around.....that sucks!

Actually, I found out that the BP Crafers seems to be a bit of a hub - that and the uber hot chick in Dainese leathers that fueled her CBR made it worth it!

will PM you my number, and next time i will definitely be there! with bells on!

ONLY with enough sleep! (don't make me go all sleep-nazi on you! - and to be honest, the bells may be hard to explain, best leave them at home.....)

LOL!

But, sure, we'll make another time, preferably when neither of us has to work the night before.

Cheers,
Rick

Ok Wolfman, I get what you mean about this Motul Mate, after a few hundred kms, 1st, 2nd, 3rd and & 4th are like butter.

5th and 6th are definitely better, but still notchy. (my guess is the previous owner, who only rode the hills on weekends, wouldn't have used 5th and 6th much. Hopefully they'll wear in a bit!)

It's like it's two stage - click, click)

Obviously I got water up where I wasn't able to get it the last 5 times I washed my bike either, since I got it, as the neutral light is no longer problematic either! (I know, I know - I'am a worrying little girl about my bikes, always have been!)

Cheers and thanks again for your help/advice.
Rick

Going for 2 rides this weekend....

Kicking of from Crafers BP at 1pm on Saturday, and kicking off from Crafers BP at 10am Sunday morning....

Both days, riding to Lobethal, and, or Cuddly Creek for food, and bike porn....

if you keen, just turn up!

I went and waited, again, then left with two random guys I met at the servo.

I'm starting to think you don't like me!

I finish work at 0600, home by 0715 (work in Taperoo) so after a quick nanny nap, will be keen!

What do you reckon about BP Crafers @ 1330? (just take it easy, remember, I'm fat and I'm slow!)

Cheers,
Rick

P.S. I actually wait AT BP Crafers, as in park in the parking bays to the L as you drive in

I am definitely on for 1.30pm at the Crafers BP, if anyone else is interested???

:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

PS: I will be on the TRX850, cause the FZ6 is minus it's "rear fender", which got damaged in a parking incident at PI, and am awaiting a new reflector, before i put it back on the bike.....so till then, "Damien" is shed bound!

:(

Got there a tad late (1345), my apologies.

Met Jamie at the BP and had a moderate ride to Lobethal, where we were joined by Mick.

Since I had already been on the roads, going there, we were able to ride more spiritedly back to Crafers, and then into town (with the apparently obligatory Eagle On The Hill run!)

Gentlemen, I had the best days riding in a long while, thank you!

South Australians are blessed with having some fantastic roads, right on the doorstep of Adelaide

Thankfully, it seems not everyone knows so the roads were fairly empty.

What a ride!

Cheers,
Rick
