I have a set of tires sitting at home to go on after the current ones wear out, but they're hypersport tires (Bridgestone S21). Anyone have experience with that class of tires in rainy weather? Would I be better off getting some PR4s or roadtec 01s for the wetter months of the year?

I can always keep these for when the weather dries out in the spring, but I want to make sure I have maximum wet grip for rainy season.

The best rain performance tires that I know of, and proven has been the Michelin's Pilot Road 4's. I'm on my 2nd set. But I hear that they have now come out with the Road 5's, outperforming the 4's!

The new dunlop roadsmart 3s are **** in the wet. just road tripped 2500kms for 2 weeks on a new set over some snow capped mountains in Victoria, Australia, and wasn`t very impressed at all. Great grip in the dry, got them over to the edge with confidence, but in the wet they feel like ice blocks. The Angel GT`s were heaps better...
