Right now I'm working on a steering bump stop.. here is the second prototype. Its gonna take some trial and error to get the geometry right, but once its done I will either get it CNC'd or I'll print at home in solid PLA/carbon fiber filament

had the idea to do a custom radiator guard. here is a simple version that would be cool on stock bikes, but I'll probably end up doing something crazy for mine. gotta source some plasma cutting when i get funds

Progress.... lookin good.
Question, if you align the triple via the stem, what is the offset of the stanchion tubes center to center stock to these? It looks like they are back about 15mm or so? Just guessing.

And yes to the black guard.

Not sure of the offset, but I marked my forks near the lower triple clamps before I made any adjustments

That triple tree upper bolt is very thick.

Here is mine (With original R6 bolt)

Yeah the R6 bolt is much thinner, you used the R6 stem? Mine is for the FZ

Oh boy! Chuck it, spin it, cut it!
The problem is you need a pressure washer so to speak. Think spring tension.
Wow - not sure how you pull that off!

no money to buy the motogadget gauges yet but i'm sure liking the look of this mount for it. will get sanded and painted. also i ditched the old bump stop idea and made a new part near the tank mount, has a rubber bumpers and catches the triple on the inside radius

If a straight line were drawn connecting the centers of the stanchion tubes (rebound adjusters if you wish), and then measured from that line to the stems center, what is the FZ vs R6 difference?

What is the new turn stop made of?

The new steering stop is 3d printed in plastic & carbon fiber dust, super rigid. It has rubber bumpers that it hits first, so no metal on metal clunk

Searched around online and found the offset is 30mm, didn't measure it myself because I'm at work.

got the covers mocked up. i want to put a trim ring or something around the center hole, to hide the slightly wonky cut line

i have two friends that play drums, they are saying that a compromised cymbal will crack pretty easily. so i'm not sure if these are staying on or if i should figure something else out
