Howdy peoples , as you may have seen my FZ6 is no longer :(....But my new XJR1300 has arrived :).....Been riding it around for a few days running her in and scrubbing the Dunlop tyres in , and have now spent this evening fitting a new Scorpion pipe :cheer:.....

Just a quick review of the new Scorpion can , OMFG  Where have these guys been hiding ??? These pipes are awesome , build quality is impecable , sound is amazing , the fitting so simple and all the parts matched up perfectly not like the Micron's i had on the FZ6.....The power gain is so incredibley noticable its a tad scary ...Stock specs are 98hp and 108Nm of torque , Scorpion dyno sheets show an increase to 111hp and 146Nm and im saying its all of that easily , also fitted a K&N filter and power gain is freakin' insane....Never have i noticed a power gain this big and noticable just from a pipe and filter , where does the power of this bike end ???? :D.....

Here's a couple of vid's and some more pic's for you all to enjoy , ride by video will be done tomorrow.....

I actually went to the Yamaha dealer to buy an XJR1300 and left with the Fazer, I'd never seen the Fazer before going to the dealer and my wife was quite taken with it so that's what I bought!

This is the colour scheme that I fell in love with:

Congrats on you new purchase. But that is tremendous gain in power just putting pipes and filter. Kind of hard to believe actually but cool. Enjoy your new ride and ride safe.

Dude wait till you have run her in and can give her all the beans (on a private road I may add ) that will make humps junior tingle :D :D :D

I get what you mean, it definitely sounds more airy that way. I like it without better!! Good pick on bike and exhaust! Now we need some pics of you on the bike, see how it suits you.

Im sure i'll get a few pic's on the weekend for ya's and a few ride by vid's to share the pleasure that is Scorpion music :D

Sounds much bettter without the db killer. Oh and by the way you SUCK for getting such a cool bike that isn't even for sale in the states. :)

Did you actually ride the XJR ??

I rode a 1200, was the first bike I rode in 20 years so it was quite an experience! I love the whole retro look, two clocks, two shocks, one big round headlight...

Is the engine air cooled, or is it liquid cooled with the cooling fins only there for decoration?

It is air cooled with a small oil cooler on the front.
