The "S2" is what you call >2007 model with FZ1 speedo. We still have both versions on the market.

ok, why would anyone buy a bike in denmark? isnt it cheaper to buy it from sweeden or germany and drive back? will they make you pay 12.000euros to import it?

Yep they will.

You propably would not save alot, they calculate the tax from the bike's markedvalue and the price Yamaha-DK paid for it.

For a reference the base tax for a new vehicle in Denmark is 180%:rockon::rockon:

If you can find a second hand bike it might be worth checking what you must pay in tax.
Private leasing might be an option at the present. Buy a bike in Germany. "Sell" the bike to a Danish private leasing company, and make a private leasing contract. The bike will be registered in Denmark, and it will be fully legal for a Danish citizen to drive it in Denmark.

this is just unreal! we are talking about 10000 euros markup on a bike that costs 8000 euros!!, there must be some way! denmark is in the EU! btw, whats the minimum avg wage over there?(if youre all rich then, heck might as well be skined by the govenment)

Price in The Netherlands for the FZ6S-S2 ABS 2009:
€ 9.299,00

Basically the same price as Germany with an added € 1000 vehicle tax. At least it's not as bad as Denmark.

Minimun wage is 2.126 EUR per month. But if you have some kind of education you will probably earn 4.000 EUR or more.

No ABS here, but I got my 08 S2 for about $10,500 AUD on road. From memory it was just under $8,500 without the on road costs.
