Custom hugger installed

So, since I couldn't find an oversized rear hugger to cut down on grime, I found an old enduro fender that fit the profile pretty well. I think it looks like it will really cut down on grime.

If it were flat black, it would nearly be invisible. Living on a muddy dirt road, I can really understand the desire for better wheel coverage. I'd go even further..... there's still a lot of 'slop' possible from the open sides, above the swing arm. Enclose that, as well.

Then, doing the fender eliminator/tail tidy stuff makes sense. The only real problem is how to make it fit with enough room to deal with chain adjustments, etc. Has to be a bit larger than absolutely necessary because of that.

I'd also shorten it slightly... move the rear edge 'forward', maybe 4" or so. Any roost in that angle will most likely clear the bike anyway.

I agree with others that you should at least paint it black. I don't like the look of the OEM hugger and I don't care for this one just as much (perhaps more to be honest).

However, if you paint it, it may seem only as bad as the OEM. Judging by the amount of dirt on your rear wheel, I think I understand the functionality need here; from that perspective, it's kind of unique to your kind of riding (in that way, you can call it cool).

Either way, I admire your ingenuity in trying to solve your problem :thumbup:. Thanks for sharing.
