What year is my Bike?

I know it may seem a strange question but....

My its a 56 Reg but apparently a FZ6-SA which didn't come out till 2007
the Colour is Light Silvery Blue (possibly Cerulean Blue ?) but according to Yamaha FZ6 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia that makes it a 2005 model but the SA wasn't made till 2007 ><.

I'm trying to look for some upgrades for it but this seems to be some sort of time travelling bike and its becoming slightly frustrating.

Any help would be appreciated.

Have you got a pic of your bike. They changed the styling of the bike for '07, (different fairing, different front brakes and rear swingarm).

Which one looks the same as yours??? Note the different swingarm.. ugly box-shape on the earlier model!!

According to that article, my FZ6 is not a Yamaha:

"The second character represents the manufacturer. All Yamaha bikes should have "C" here."

I've got a Y.

Can you get a picture of your FZ6 (higher resolution would be preffered) and a picture of the vin sticker. We can tell you the generation of the FZ with the overall pic and an exact year with a vin.

Mine's a 2004 MY first registered in November 2003. Came off the boat from Japan to Southampton docks and was trucked to Shrewsbury, where it was set up by the Yamaha dealer and declared new at first registration to the DVLA. I'm pretty sure it's genuine.

I'll try and get a pic of the VIN later, but here's the bike.

Secret agent. But you're not allowed to tell anybody.

It's all in the original documentation that came with the bike. Dealer stamps, import slip, mileage log and everything.

I have the Bottom version it looks like, So i would guess i have a 2005 Version according to wiki. (cerulean Blue is the Colour)
