Good deal on GPS

OK.. it's kind of outdated by today's standards, but I still use the same one and I paid way more for it few years ago. Works great in my car, on my FZ and on my bicycle:

how long does the battery last on it? i have just been using my android phone gps with a weatherproof mount. I had a garmin i was using on my dirtbike but i bumped it with my hand last weekend and it flew over the hill and down onto some river rocks and broke the antenna off lol.

Battery *should* last 4 hours, but in reality I get a bit less than 3 hours out of it. I just hard wired it to a switched connection on my bike so I never have to worry about battery dying

I have the same unit that I use on my bike. Not really meant for this purpose, but works fine nonetheless. I also hooked up a 12V socket to not only power it, but the traffic antenna is in the power cord, so this way you can get the traffic report while you ride.:thumbup:

After seeing your post, i went to BB, but ended up buying the 1300lmt.
Kind of hard to resist the lifetime maps & free car stereo combo.
Now to find a decent mount

My garmin has very seldom let me down in my cage, if you use it on a trip it more than pays for itself, great little easy to use device!

I use this one. Very good for the money. Can also be used without the waterproof case with Garmin's OEM clip (that's how I use mine most of the time):
