I had new Michelin tires put on my '08 FZ6,
Bike was making a terrible racket while riding,
New chain on good sprockets, turns out he "did ya a favor and tightened your chain"
It was as tight as a banjo string!!
Big favor,,,,
How is the front tire?
When my front tire,
started looking like a racing slick!
The front end would shake,
with no hands on the bars.
Good luck with it!

I read,I believe in Cycle World, that an O-ring chain absorbs more power than a X-ring.
Which means you have more power to put down on the pavement with a X-ring!
Greater friction with the O-ring is the cause.
Lube it or lose it.
Is that the cover for Stephen King's next book?
If you liked "Christine" you'll love "Rusty Truck"
I'd like it more without the blurred edges but,
It'll look good on the cover.
Really nice!

I have 1" up/1" back on my stock bars.
5'11" @ 170Lb.
I don't workout.
Just worked hard most of my life.
Could be your pinching a nerve,
Leaning forward and lifting your head.
Good Luck!

Not familiar with the way our VIN numbers are arranged.
But could you be seeing O0,or,0O,,??
Some times I have trouble telling an O(capital letter) or the number 0.
Hopefully it's not like a Toyota pickup I bought new in '74.
When it was time for a new muffler the manual said "if built...

A wide flat shoe string works pretty well when cleaning the pistons.
Put some cleaner on string and piston,
Just put string around the piston as far you can and zip-zop
Do from different ways and,,
It's cleaned!
Works for me.

@ Vegasrider.
I weighed around 145 at the time.
As I recall trip meter was in the 280 range.
Wasn't what I would call lugging,
My Gramps would lug his Corvair pick-up!
Make ya cringe and shake your head.
Think he thought it was one of his steam-tractors.
I've driven truck all my life...
Does that rear sprocket look bigger than stock to anyone?
That's what I would use for faster acceleration instead of going down on front.
Just looks like more than 46 teeth to me.
Could be wrong, been wrong before and will be again!

That may have been me.
There was a time when I was more broke than normal,
Had to really nurse it and shift at/before 3500 rpm,
In 6th before 30mph.
Got just over 70 mpg!
Always put Felix on the centerstand,
And fill to same point on inner neck.
At the same station and same pump.
Wasn't...
Oh Darn it! Looking at my calender/schedule
It looks like I wont be in the neighborhood at that time of the evening,,,;)
Chesterfield,,Humm,,I remember those,,
Back when a pack of smokes was .29 cents,,
Mor'cicles were mor' Work and mor' Agravating,,

I read some where(Right Here!-expatmanxman- http://www.600riders.com/forum/uk/53315-fz6-moto-gymkhana.html?highlight=moto+Gymkhana and else where)about some rider, on a Fz6,
That had his idle set at 3,000 RPM IIRC.
Also had a heat sink on his rear brake.
Talked about having forks at full lock...
