Looking for tires as I noticed my angels just broke thru the wear bars today... I see people posting reviews about the z6's getting 10k+ miles on a rear.
My main goal for the next set of tires is mileage vs track-grade grip... Commuting to school is gonna be a biggie the next year or so.
So...
Yeah yeah, nobody watches the NHL, well here's hoping somebody does or this is going to be a whole lot of me talking to myself.... As for where my allegiances lie:
So who are you rooting for in the playoffs? (Crosses fingers someone answers lol)
Whoops... Thought for sure I was good til July! Anyways my rear tire is hammered and won't pass inspection. So, where do you guys buy your tires? I usually go motorcycle superstore but I haven't really shopped around.
Oh and suggestions on tires? I'm pretty tight on money but planned on getting...
I found that the ninja 300 forum may be squidlier than SBN!!! It amazes me how many idiots just want to race people at lights. To me that misses the point of a motorcycle, sure fast is fun but riding for bragging rights seems like a bad idea.
From what I could gather there were two groups...
And what?
It's chuck season in NY right now and my normal chuck guns cheap scope just crapped the bed so I've been using the .308 hehehe....
So, share away ;)
Boston Pd confirmed that suspect in custody and bring treated at a hospital.
Great news! Lets hope they get all the info they need out of him!
Thanks to all the Boston LEOs etc that were relentless in making sure Boston feels safe again... Don't forget the victims of this atrocity.

Thinking about making my own sliders for the V. Figure it's good practice for machining and it will save a few bucks.
Going to have to do some measurements and such but it should be fun ;)
Anyways anybody know what the actual wear piece on sliders is? Somebody said they though it was...
Just kinda wanna see what street bike everybody learned on.
I came from dirt but my learning bike was a Honda Rebel 250.. Fun around town but scary on highways.
So, what did you guys all learn on? ;)
It's buying season again for me :spank: Motorcycle boots are next in order... There's literally no (that I know of) places that carry a wide enough selection of boots to justify driving an hour to go try some on so i'll be buying online...
Budget- $125
Needs- Well, for $125 beggars can't...
Irrelevant to the FZ6 world but I know some have inquired about both these bikes, and this was a cool little vid I came across... I like how in the review they use the Versys as a benchmark... makes me all warm and fuzzy inside

So I made good on my promise to clean the headers on my bike, and got to thinking I don't think I'd ever posted a pic of it on the forum, so took a few shots w the phone.

After:
Even outside the pics don't do the headers justice, they were fugly as hell now the look showroom fresh...
Hey all, last 12 months has been so busy it's not funny, i hope all you guys have been well!
So to recap:
Decided to get a low pay high hour production job (70+ hours a week) that worked for oh, probably 8 months. Quit that gig late last spring and took the summer off. Fall i decided i...
For soft bags these look pretty neat-much cheaper than hard bags, compact for sport standards rather than massive for tourers, and it even appeals to the geek in me that they have solar panels for charging things...

Lol just picked the bike up in a snowstorm, fitted nicely with fresh Pirelli Angel ST's!
The thread about mixing tires made motivated me to post this up
I was previously running an Angel ST on the back and the stock Dunflop you get on a Versys on the front... front was...
Would like to turn the bike into a cross country runner this summer... but first things first-navigation
I have two options currently at my disposal:
1)Use the Iphone-would need a mount (waterproof preferably) and a 12V installed
2)Use my lower end Garmin Nuvi-again mount and a 12V...
Hey guys, been a while since i actually started a thread :spank:
Anyways i've got my bike booked for a new front tire (finally getting rid of the crappy OEM Dunflop that came with it), new seals -guy at the service desk hassled me on that one "what year was it?" "2010"..."you blew the seals...
So walking in the dealership today, i was looking at bikes, only thing i came up with at first is how much more nimble the 2011 Versys looked sitting next to a Strom 1000...:spank: walked towards the used section, instantly noticed a Triumph Sprint ST with bags with a pricetag lower (quite alot...
