Thanks, Stryken. Had to stop as some folks are coming over soon, but have got all the major cutting done, and am going to go out for a ride tomorrow to test it before doing the smoothing and re-tacking. We've already tested the staple gun, so I know that works ok into the plastic.

OMG, just realised there is another female rider in Melbourne :-) Got my (blue) FZ6 in Jan, and I too find it a bit on the tall side (and rather top heavy when geared up for camping but that's another story......) Just wish I could ride it more often, but I have to transport kids in the...

I remember my first street rides...... quite nerve racking. Then someone reminded me that I have just as much right to the road as any other vehicle rider. I was unconsciously keeping way too far to the left, so cars were feeling free to come past in the same lane. I started placing myself more...

Most important thing is..... make sure you buy a left and right opening sleeping bag that can be zipped together ;)

Hypothetically speaking, if someone was daft enough to drop their bike when stopping three times in two days due to poor camping kit weight distribution, and scuffed the black plastic on a mirror, how would you recommend they hide the damage? Just speaking hypothetically here, of course....... :(

Showing my ignorance now, but the penny dropped recently that in America (or in some states, certainly) you can ride a Fazer legally as a first bike??? Here in the state of Victoria (Australia) it was limited to 250cc, but the rules changed last year, and now learners can ride up to a 600cc on...
