I got this muff for next to nothing,so I made it fit.Sounds OK, deep tone.
I know I need a new tire, and I gotta make some bodywork for the rear.
License bracket also.

thats one thing I dig about streetfighters, all the custom work and ideas that go into them.

I knew it could be done! well done!! can't wait to see it finished off!

Some questions if you don't mind??

1.Is the pipe size the same.

2.What did you use for an adapter if at all??

3.Where did you get it and how much?

4.How's it sound?

Keep us posted on your progress:thumbup:

1.No,muffler pipe for a 1000 is huge.

2.I used the old pipe off the FZ and fit it inside the new from the CBR,made relief cuts and hammered them down around the smaller pipe.Weld.

3. Ebay 29 bucks 15 more for shipping

4.Nice throaty sound not too loud

How did you make the cowl as well? that looks very good and clean, I don;t really like how complex the yamaha and TCP cowls are.

I started with a piece of black 1/4 inch plastic, stuck it in the oven till soft and molded it till I got what I wanted shape wise. Then bondo till I was happy with it,It is all pretty rough lookin right now, once I get everything finished I will redo the sanding and such.

The frame and swing will be Flat black, gloss black body pieces and tank, texture flatblack engine

Looks GREAT! I really appreciate the time and effort you put into the project. I really like how clean the whole rearend is. I've always felt that the FZ6 is visually too busy.
