I posted up a little while ago about a guy who runs his own shop:

I was just at his place and he had his Bimota SB8R sitting in the driveway (getting ready to go for a ride). I noticed something that didn't look quite stock so I asked him about it.. sure enough, he made the see-through sidecover himself. Check it out!

It must be the clutch cover...looks really good. Subtle touch of gold on sportbikes work really good IMO. I wish he would manufacture some cool stuff for the forum members....Erci? :D:D

I'm thinking of gold, flat radiator side panels, with aggresive lines like the FZ6 logo..with a pattern like the body of this guitar :

same pattern heel plates maybe..in gold ....

Totally doable. Just need to figure out how many people would be interested to figure out the cost.

He happened to mention anodizing costs, while I was there. One basket (he didn't give me exact measurements, but it should be about 3' x 2') is ~160, so the more parts can be dunked together the more price goes down.
He'll pretty much make any part, if the price is right

Awesome, it might be difficult to get a lot of people agree on the same texture/color but its worth trying.

Can we also find out how much it would be without anodizing? At least for radiator panels. The price would be more affordable and we wouldnt have to stick to one color.

Thanks Eric!:cheer:

He can do radiator covers with custom logos, but would need to do at least 10 to keep costs down. So.. if we get enough people and come up with cool design, I think it can be done :D

The clutch side on an FZ6 is the right side, but I believe than on a 6R it is the left side. The only thing I have found that will fit both an FZ6 and a 6R is the rubber inserts in the pegs !!
