Anyone get the new Cycle World? They did a comparison of the BMW f800gs and the Triumph Tiger 800xc in Alaska! I don't know about you guys, but I got pretty excited when I saw it in the mail.

i have the f800gs. i love it. i've done some offroading with it, too.

dollar for dollar, there are better bikes out there. the triumph looks like a better bike, when you factor in money. i like the larger power output and the excel rims. i just bought a second set of excel rims for my bike, jeez!!!
hell, the f650gs twin is a better bike, again money as a factor. there's nothing the f800gs can do that the f650gs twin can't do. the only difference is the extra $$$ in your pocket.

i love my GS, though!

My friend used to have a beemer 650. The frame was a bit too small though. I really really like the f800gs though! You have an awesome bike!

I meant the f650gs twin. It has the same engine as the f800gs. That's right...it's a 800cc parallel twin engine. It doesn't have the single cylinder 650 engine like the old f650. That's now called the g650gs. Confused?:D

It's basically the same freakin' bike.

Yes, thanks for the correction. He had the older one. Your f650gs is very sharp! I just went on the beemer website and checked it out. Strange that they still call it a 650?
