Hi All,

I just fitted a Targa FE to my 2005 FZ6 and I like the look of it on the bike.

My question is the spiral wrap that protects the wiring is 'really' close to the underside of the exhaust can. In one spot it actually touches. I have fitted it per the instructions and would like to know does it get hot enough to possible melt or damage the spiral wrap?

The OEM wires run along a pre-determined path covered by a piece of plastic and even though they sit really close, they don't actually touch.

Any suggestions/help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

what type of spiral wrap is it. Got a pic by any chance? Is it stock exhaust?

just a few things to probably get a better answer.

Heat can deff. melt things away easily. Especially when it's already burning outside with the sun.

My best reccomendation would be to try to run the wrap another way is possible.

It is the split type spiral wrap. It has a split along the entire length of it with the blinker and LED plate light wiring in it. I can only route it above the FE plate that came with the kit and not below, or else you will see it on the bike and not look tidy.

And I have a stock exhaust.
