Go ahead and suggest something (music)...

Ill second that, but the singer is a bit of a moot point, so if you can find some of their songs without vocals... and Petrucci is the 9th wonder:rockon:

my playlist includes:
Mudvayne:rockon:
REO Speedwagon
The Cardigans
Disturbed:rockon:
Red Hot Chili Peppers
Linkin Park:rockon:
Evanescence
Skindred:rockon:
Van Halen
Styx
Blue Oyster Cult
The Script
SPIDERBAIT:rockon:
Tesla

and a lot more if you like this kinda stuff...

Skindred is pretty cool. They have a unique sound and their lyrics are interesting, and it doesn't hurt that they're catchy as hell. 'Nobody' is such a head banger!

PM sent - mp3 dvd is an option.... to a "test drive" some music before buying! :welcome:

Oh yes! "What is Hip???" You are ya old fart! Great list. And that video...they just don't make 'em like that anymore. I've gotta go find some Tower of Power now.

Oh, you did it now....:Flash: ToP, my go-to favorite for 40 years. Rhythm & Business, Bump City, ahhh!

A new entity is CTA, founded by former Chicago drummer Danny Seraphine, with guest vocals by Larry Braggs. Buy either of their MP3 albums and if you don't like it I'll personally refund you the cost.

Golden Earring--Radar Love
Sammy Hagar--Can't Drive 55
VanHalen--Hot For Teacher
Steppenwolf--Magic Carpet Ride
Ari Koivunen--Hear My Call
Aerosmith--Love in a Elevator
Eric Clapton--Pretending, No Alibis
Def Leopard- Photograph

There is a saying that I can't remember correctly at the moment. Something about just hearing the music of a song when you are happy, but hearing the words of a song when you are troubled (something like that). Anyway, your song list created a really weird story of my life kind of thing. Okay, not the elevator, but this mix kinda hit home a few times! :eyebrow:

Thanks for the list!

P.S. love your avatar - see it every time I look a FZ in the eyes

1. Any MetallicA album EXCEPT Some kind of monster ;)...........

2. Alice In Chains - Unplugged........ The BEST cruising album ever recorded

3. Faith No More - Ashes To Ashes.......

Jen.... no country.... my kinda girl!

Botch.... Level 42 only 2nd favourite? Mark King is bass god! I love their music, I have a pile on vinyl and CD.

Motogiro.... I can listen to that Joe track over and over, I have the Surfing with the Alien album but AWMAWY is on one of my MP3 CDs in my car and it gets repeated a lot.

My choice of artists...

Level 42 of course
Brand New Heavies
Santana
Doobie Brothers
Basia (someone else mentioned her, Time and Tide is a GREAT album)
David Sanborn
Alan Parsons Project
A good album for a long trip is Jeff Wayne's War of the Worlds
The Rippingtons

I'm going to hit submit now or I will keep thinking and the list will get too long :spank:

I know you said no country........... BOOOOOOOO !!!! :BLAA: :BLAA:

I didn't say "no country," I said "All genres accepted. I won't buy it if it's not for me (cough, country, cough)." I keep trying to like it, and have gotten close a couple times, but it's just not right for me. ;) That just leaves more country for you!!! Right?

So, I went for a long ride today and have fallen behind here. Sweater Dude, I already have half your suggestions on my current playlist! Well done my friend.

Maybe I'll get a chance this weekend to post a couple of my favorite obscure songs/musicians too...

YAAAAAAAY !!!!

Andz brought up a good one, The Doobie Brothers would be excellent riding music!
(and I brought up Basia too, sounds like you and I have identical musical tastes)

Every now and then special songs come along that fit a situation to a "T" - hopefully this song doesn't hit a home-run for may, but damn, its a GOOD one to keep in the running for those "special occasion" when you want to vent a little on a ride !!!

OMG!!! In one post you have given me a theme song AND named my bike!!!

I had some mods done on Friday and came to the conclusion that, yes, my bike is a lady. I'd been trying to keep her gender neutral, but she's come of age and there's no denying her sexy self. Black Betty.

Thanks Motogiro.
