the building is pretty and all, but I'm more interested in seeing the bike... e.g. differences between it and FZ09. Looks lovely... congrats!

Adjustable screen and handguards:

Bigger tank (than the FZ-09), :

Fitting for paniers, adjustable seat and it's taller than the MT-09

Raisers and adjustable forks:

A more conventional number plate set up, Nice gear indicator, 12v outlet, 3 mapping settings, 3 different settings for traction control, & Assist en Slipper Clutch (A&S).

Congrats! Looks good..I mean..for a blue bike.

How do you like actually having some torque? :)

Nice, it's got plenty of punch, with traction control off it wheelies really easily :)

is the MT09 a Euro (non-US) option only? Looks nice... great choice

The MT-09 is the euro version of your FZ-09 and I thought that the Tracer was equivelent to your FJ-09 but I could be wrong, it's all pretty confusing when the models vary in europe and State side :(

Congrats on the new bike! It appears to have many of the desired upgrades for a modern machine and I think the blue color will grow on you.

The blue is the BEST!!

Pictures don't do it justice, it is a stunning colour and thankfully it doesn't have gold forks.

I gave my blue Tracer a good blast today and I'm loving it

Congrats on your new ride. It's a great feeling, especially when you look at in your garage. You just can't believe it's yours.

Too true, it's quite neat at the mo so I guess I spend more effort keeping it that way.

Cheers mate

Here's a pic from last Sundays ride to the Eifel in Germany:

What's the fuel tank capacity and range like?
Have they fixed the jumpy throttle response that the fz6 has?

Niel the tank capacity on the Tracer is 18 Liters, as opposed to the 19 liters of the FZ6. Not sure about range as I rarely keep it in the "ECO" Zone (this is displayed on screen) ;).

Personally I never had an issue with a snatchy throttle so I guess they ironed that out with the S2. But whilst on the matter the Tracer 09 for 2017 has been slightly tweaked to comply with the new emmission rules, and strangely enough it tends to splutter a bit at lower revs (which the pre 2017 apparently didn't).

I really like them, (counter) stearing is so much easier  slight drawback is that sometimes I can't quite filter where I used to on the FZ6.
