r6 drive axle compatiblity

my front sprocket slipped off the axle, and ground off the threads on the drive axle, so i need a new one. i wanted to know if this r6 transmission part could be used as a replacement. if i understand the part number scheme, it looks like it should work. a lot of money will be going to labor to fix this and the oem r6 part is like 30 bucks cheaper for some reason. thanks

r6 drive axle: 2C0-17421-00-00

It shows every FZ6 and a selct group of R6 from 2003!
