I have to disable my AIS, for a proper AFR reading during dynotuning of the PC5. I however don't feel like blocking with plates. It there an easier method? Would just unplugging the sensor do the trick? (I ride an 08, so shouldn't be a problem...)
Or cap of a tube (which one?) somewhere?
A few of you noticed my friend's cool Suzuki Gamma in a group shot I posted up about a ride report.
We went for another ride last Sunday. I was sitting at a stoplight right behind him. Another rider in our group was next to me. As we took off from the light I noticed a puddle of fluid that...
Finally got to ride my FZ6 home today after getting it certified at a local bike dealership and having spent the majority of my week thus far doing licensing and administration type duties. Between class and finalizing my license plate transfer, I didn't even get to eat today! (Somehow I made it...
Hey all!
Picked up my 2007 FZ6 a few weeks ago now. It's my first bike, and it took me 10 years after getting my license to finally get a bike. Life got in the way and it just took a while for me to pull the trigger.
Anyway, this whole time I always knew I wanted an upgright sport bike...
Jerry (Jblk9695) posted on our SoCal Hoons mail group for a ride this Saturday.
Any one interested come and join us! Post here for further info and coordination. :)

So I had my accident about 4 months ago, and partially due to the time fixing and partially due to the cold weather, I really haven't ridden her much. A couple days here and there but nothing more than that. As much as I wanted to get right back in the saddle after getting hit by that f******...
I use to ride a Dual sport bike and at a railroad crossing there is a lip and I use to just blip the throttle and jump the tracks. Out of habit I did this on the FZ6. No big deal but I came to realize I was trying to ride the FZ6 the same way I use to ride my DS. Freeway riding is about the...
So, he decides to go for a ride with his buddies yesterday. I decide to go to the Triumph dealer and put a deposit on a 2014 Street Triple R. I'm keeping my Sprint for touring.
I called in the morning and found out they sold the demo one I test rode a couple of week ago on Friday...
My daughter's boyfriend took the MSF course last October. He's been acquiring gear and finally a bike. To my great surprise, he purchased a 2009 FZ6r. He took his first ride with us today. He did really well. I gave him David Hough's "Proficient Motorcycling" book for Christmas. He's been...
When you're going for a ride and it's 37 degrees, do not ride 2 hours North
Heated gear or not, I got very cold today.. still had a great ride :D
Hi everyone, its been a long time since my last real visit. I have a question. I use my fz for touring mostly. Last year I put a 15 tooth sprocket on the front. Way different ride and far more comfortable for the roads I typically ride. In June of 2015 I plan on doing a long highway ride. Should...
Long short story, I was trying to sell my Shorai LFX18A1 battery $130 so figured out no one needed it so I started to use it anyway and by the time I installed it I got myself a Yamaha OEM air filter...the old air filter dirty..so it was worth to replace while installing the Shorai battery (got...
Everybody knows womenz don't ride motorcycles. Was this an April Fools forum that never got deleted?
Why I ride everyday and never SEE a girl on a motorcycle, much less a fast one like our beloved FZ6. Prove it or lose it!
Maybe it means on "the back" of a motorcycle? I see that all the...
About two years ago my son's best friend asked if I would help him find a first bike. I pointed him in the direction of the usual suspects (FZ6, SV650, EX650R) and he settled on an FZ6 not to far away. I went with him for the pre-purchase inspection, gave him my approval and rode the bike home...
Jblk9695(Jerry) and Cali rider(John) and I went for a great ride yesterday. Riding out to Jerry's place in Crestline, Ca. and doing some touring through the mountains makes me appreciate even more all the times Jerry, John and others do the long trek to San Diego to ride with us. It has also...
Cold and crazy-windy, but we ended up having a great ride! Found a cool castle, enjoyed the surprisingly grippy roads and had a damn fine lunch too. Few pics
Had some time the other weekend. We really wanted to ride down Skyline Drive and Blue Ridge Parkway to Fontana, but with the weather, lack of lodging availability, and our time constraints we just loaded the bike up in the trailer and headed out. Two days just isn't enough time. I've been to the...
