It was a takeoff from one of Skooter's project bikes.
But it came from Maine! :D

The base map with offsets

After collecting a few samples and reviewing notes, I make edits to the base map and create a new map. The goal being a 13.0:1 AFR above 20% throttle. AFR is lower below 20% throttle to absorb the load of take off. It is something to tinker with and so far the results have been good! Also, the higher AFR at low or near closed throttle are a result of the conditions, not the map. No load on the engine so its seeing a lean condition which is not a concern.

New goodies came from the EU....
They are made by yamaha, the front have white DRL and turn The rear, turn, run, brake.

They seem pretty bright both front and rear but have not been installed yet. The color plates swap out so they will be black and not silver. They come with load ballasts, but with an electronic flasher, there is no need for them. They also have rubber cushion at the mount and can move so as not to shear off but certainly not as limber as the stock oem mount.

I like the blinkers a lot, great find. Where did you order from? Thanks for sharing the part numbers.

Things to do when its snowing.....

Installed new lights in fairing.... And yes, that is an FZ6 wiring harness (and battery) powering those lights! I'll work on the aim too!

Forks get fresh oil every two years and the front tire has no meat on the sides. Could be used for 10k in the straights tho!
To do list includes brake bleeding and radiator flush. As well as cleaning. So much bug juice dried in the radiator core.

Those signals are awesome. So crazy how difficult they are to find in the U.S.
Still looking for a viable option.

FWIW I called two local Yam'r dealers and they both said they can not cross international boundries. So don't go looking for a dealer to do it.

The place I ordered from gave me 20Eur off the combined order (moto_outlet_shop) so I went w them. Packaging was top notch and it was here in like 7 days. I would buy from them again.

I'll post up the rear when done and get it outside!

I like them, I just can't believe how expensive they are. It's on my list, just can't justify it now. I love the DRL feature and the combined brake/run/turn for the rear.

Quick questions:
1) It appears they don't use any part of the current signal. No issues? Just remove the old and bolt on the new?
flasher.JPG

2) Is the wiring plug and play with the existing plug?

I'll probably be ordering today regardless of above answers (even though the price is so high!) They look great, and I'm itching to do something to the bike before riding season.

Yes and no.
You need the tear drop adapter/filler that converts to a round stock.
The front signal wires are a mile long. Here I bought OEM adapters to plug into the tiny round connector. Go to fleebay look for: 2x Signals 3 Pin Plugs Adapter Yamaha FZ6.

Get some small shrink tubing (amazoo) and red or 18 to 22 gauge butt splice connectors. The naked bare metal are best and fit nicely under shrink tubing.
You'll need wire stripers and crimpers....

OR - you can use the supplied yamaha wires and those signal adapter and NOT cut or splice anything and waad up 20" of extra wire under the cowl. Up to you.

All I had was clear shrink tubing. Its not a nice as I'd care for. I had listed some of this stuff in the Electrical Sticky thread - Post where you found your electrical parts....

Look there!

You buying the back too? Thats more complex...

Thanks! Great info to have. At first I just thought I'd cut and splice in the existing signal wire, but I may want to keep the old signal/wires intact. Never know when I may upgrade to the FJ-09 and want to take these new blinkers with me, and put the OEM's back in on the FZ.

I'll just buying the fronts for now...maybe I'll get the backs one day but right now there's nothing back there. Just the integrated Motodynamic tail light.

Last question before I place the order. Just reexamined your photo of the signals. Are my eyes deceiving me or are there 4 conductors?
Nevermind. Those are the rears, aren't they.... ground, running light, signal, and brake light. Duh.

Placed the order! Thanks for your help.

You find the wire adapters and tear drops?
Its like $10 for both of them.

OEM adapter so signals are plug n play...
The down side is the connector does not fit through the nut or tear drops adapters... =/

Thanks, yes, ordered both the tear drop and wiring adapters from an outfit called Planet Bolts on flea bay. I plan on cutting some of that extra wire and butt splicing in the wiring adapters (with heat shrink), so that should allow feeding the wiring through the tear drops.
Thanks again!

NP!
Report back your throughts on the drawing that comes with them!
Keeping in mind that a small 9volt battery will power them on to defend what should be obvious in their drawing. lol

Black is ground and the supplied load resistors are for blinkers only. So if you have an electronic flasher relay, you don't need the load resistors.
