All really good photos. Keep 'em coming! I need to get out and take some more. Get so busy sometimes I forget to stop and look.

This is far from a fantastic pic I know but its a tribute to two people I called friends & their 4 passengers...

Over the weekend this aircraft was flying charity joyflights at a small town fly-in & on Monday while returning home in bad weather it sent out a distress signal that was soon lost, this afternoon the wreckage was found in a rugged bushland not more than 40 mile from home........ There were no survivors :(

R.I.P Des & Cath you will be sadly missed :( Australian aviation wont be the same without your beloved RIAMA in the skies..... My thoughts go out to the families of all those lost :(

Ok here's some more that I was able to find. All taken with a Sony Alpha 100 DSLR. I don't know that they are the greatest shots but I think they're pretty decent

Not sure how I missed this thread for so long. Got halfway serious about decent photos when I started taking awesome motorcycle trips, about five years ago. Made the usual progression from a bridge camera to a DLSR, lenses, flashes, tripods, reflectors, shooting film, etc.

Recently realized it had become less fun, and punted almost all my gear. Kept my manual focus film camera and 28, 40, 50, and 100mm lenses, and a TTL flash. Purchased the Fujifilm X10 to handle digital duty, and couldn't be happier. F2.0-2.8 28-112mm equivalent lens, funky sensor that pairs pixels in EXR mode to reduce noise and boost dynamic range (at 6MP resolution). Metal body with zoom ring on the lens barrel, mechanically coupled viewfinder, external controls for everything. Feels like a real camera, and is a joy to shoot.

Headed up to the north shore of Lake Superior today, should have some decent pics Monday. Last year was gorgeous.

And the results speak for themselves  Love the colour contrasts

The light was terrible during the periods of the weekend that I was not inebriated or sleeping in. Such is the danger of vacationing. ;)

I did go out and battle the bright grey skies for a bit Saturday afternoon, with some success.
