I was passing MCAS Miramar yesterday(I live 3 Miles away) watching some F18 Hornets doing maneuvers and was thinking how you'd like to photograph them.

Come on over. We'll take you to Death Valley. The 18's love to do crazy stuff out in the desert. I've watched them come over us at less than 500 feet-inverted.
Much better than any organized air show.

I've seen other aircraft in the desert as I was climbing to an elevation. They were so quiet it really surprised me but then I realized what they were and it all made sense. :rockon:

[MENTION=4819]Humperdinkel[/MENTION] Nice shots dude! Did you have a polarising filter on for the good looki'n 'Aussie birds' shots? BTW congrats for the cricket world cup victory... Not so much for whopping my guys in the quarter finals...

Was up in Oslo, Norway on the weekend... Got some keepers...

And yes, we did give your lot a floggin; in the quarters but did you expect anything less ?? Blah Blah I did expect the Kiwi's to put up a much tougher fight in the final !!

I've always wanted a simpler camera like my beloved FM-2, all manual control, but took digital pics; this is as close as Nikon's gonna come to it. Found a "9" condition "lightly used" camera for about 35% off the cost of new, the box itself and all the accessories, manuals and CD are still in their factory shrink-wrap, warranty card not filled in, I think I got a brand new camera! Three-day weekend coming up, can't wait to try her out! :rockon:
