Just bought a set of the Oxford Sports Hot Grips. SOFT! Looking forward to installing them tonight, although not looking forward to losing my favourite gel grips.

Once you have got used to the new fell of the grips, and ridden just once in cold weather with the Oxfords...your gel grips will be a fond, but distant memory!

Very cool!

How much? They had a lot of sale today when we did just bout EVERY bike shop in Perth.

Mike went shopping today - for a new lid - Shoei X-11 are $900 at the mo, X-12 $1295
New boots - Sidi Vertigo Tempur? $450
Dri-rider wet weather pants (he already has wet weather pants...)

Saw a few tank/tail packs. Given me a few ideas.

We walked away spending on $30 today - phew!

I bought a neck warmer and some thermal inners for my gloves (I suffer with cold hands all the time - even with my Dri-rider Nordic gloves).

Yep, I got my Shoei XF-1000 (flutter) from the Helmet Warehouse - $740 delivered to Perth. Saw my exact helmet on sale today in Perth $799

God Perth sucks for choice!

Tried a pair of Sartso cargos on today - fitted like a glove - but I wasn't in the mood to part with $250 for them. I got my Draggin Minx in Perth last year for $225 on sale - they were $245 in Perth today.

Why is it so hard?

Just hard to part with $250 for jeans.

Might wait a while. I've got Draggins, plus I've got to spend $600 on my Yamaha topbox now

If you guys are kevlar jeans shopping, I'm fairly sure Draggin are the only brand with the CE safety approval/rating. I went with the newer Chris Vermulen-endorsed ones :)

Looks like everybody is taking advantage of the reasonably keen pricing at most bike shops right now...gotta love the cold weather for good bike gear prices...some shops will just about walk over their "first born" to get some money in the tills at this time of the year!

Been busy myself...but more so for the bikes, rather than me! Mirror extenders, new iPhone mount, 12v power supply for both fz6's, fitting led's to my topbox....extra tail light and brake light....and on Thursday a very plush custom fitted lambswool seat cover arrived from the one and only mr humpy....

Gotta say it is a very good thing! Perfect for all that touring I plan to do in the next 6-8 months...

Cheers humpy...bargain price! Great kit!

I went to the bike show to get a pair of draggins (had the cash in hand) and wanted to get the new pocketless trouser type for work, so I could ride in them and not bother changing....
They didn't have any!!!!! Wasn't too impressed, since no one seems to stock them either and I have asked at about 4 different gear places.

Draggins are damn expensive, but I use them as a general jean and they are extremely well made. Normal jeans can be 100$ and these days they are all the fashion crap with no knees, stains or colour bleached out, and are designed to be worn at knee level X.x

I'm tempted to get my old ripped pair repaired, but I'm not sure if they'll live up to being ridden in, I've talked to a few places that do repairs and they seem confident they can do extra heavy duty patches with double layers, but still not sure :(

Gday Humpy,
Out of plain curiosity, did you get the 'standard' or the 'shorty'? Any Pros/Cons?
Mayhap some money coming in, and they look 'tres nice' :)thumbup:Kazza)

I went the 'standard' , I think they will just suit the bulk of the XJR  better .... My only experience with the 'shorty' is last weekend while looking at Azz's bike , had a feel of them & although they looked good they just seemed a bit small & lacked the feeling i like  As for pros/cons :don'tknow: I think its just personal taste...
