I had an accident about one month ago in which my bike got totalled. It wasn't my fault, so now I'm waiting on the insurance money and then I'm going to buy a new black fz8 abs. Let the pictures speak for themselves.

Sorry to see your bike in this condition. I hope you are okay. It looked very nice and I see you had the faster red color.

I'm sure you can sell the akra's easily on this site. Best of luck in the future with the FZ8.

Save the exhaust and see if you can make one of the cans work on your FZ8.
Glad you're okay! Also you don't have to be a stranger to the best motorcycle forum on the WWW!

Edit: Why not an FZ1?

Well, it wasn't that bad because of my back protector. I made contact with the car with my back first. I was in full gear so. After this experience it is really bad to see people on there bikes without gear at all. I was a safety freak before and now I'm that even more. I bought completely new gear now for 2112 euro...At first I thought I wouldn't be riding again because of fear, but I just can't stop riding. It just love it so much....

Hope you feel ok, sad to see the bike in that condition, as long as your ok. Have fun on the F8, I might look at the Speed Triple getting best marks in that class.

I'm also very glad that you are OK. Another sobering reminder of ATGATT.

I have the same bike, same year and color. It's really sad to see your's end up like that, but hey better the bike than you!

You have made me seriously consider a back protector also. Thanks for the post and the pics! Best regards.

Glad you are ok!

So that is what is looks like when a FZ6 cries.:(

I think your story has pushed me that little bit I needed too. I am going to order a back protector tonight.

I kept putting it off as I ususally ride with a backpack(that has backpads and a hardplastic sheet behide that) but I don't always have a backpack on.

Glad to hear your okay. And your right It is very VERY sad to see people riding without protection, but live and let live.... right?

This is why I bought a new jacket with a back protector. I'm sure most of you guys and gals remember this sad story:

Seattle to Argentina on a KLR650 - ADVrider

Sorry If I brought up any bad memories. But I would like to think that we all learned something from this. I was depressed for over a week after reading this and almost couldn't ride.
