Mine shifts a little cluncky from 1 to 2. Beyond that all the shifts are smooth. I just checked my chain and it appears to be a little loose. It needs to be cleaned soon too, so may be i'll do both - clean up and tighten at the same time when the time comes. (perhaps in next 2- 3 weks, before Xmas). Will let you know if the shift gets smoother.
like everyone else i also get that 1st to 2nd clunk, i try to do it quick and sometime its goes in and others i miss and go into N, not sure on waht to do?
