Just took the MSF course a few weeks ago (first time on a motorcycle of any kind, ever at 50!), bought an 05 FZ7 one week ago, and have ridden it 10-20 miles a days learning what I am doing. I joined up here because it looks like a great resource and community.

I have had pretty mixed results ordering OEM and aftermarket parts from several vendors and through dealers for my 07 FZ6 (and Kodiak ATV)
Can anyone recommend a parts supplier that will consistently:
1) send the correct part as specified by me?
2) send the part in less than 30 days?
3)...
We head out in 2 days and I can't wait!!!!
This is the route we plan to take (darn Google Maps won't let me do the entire route on one map, grrr....)

Well, I've found a new home for my FZ6 so I'm returning the bike to (mostly) stock and selling my Penske shock. I bought this shock new last summer after taking the FZ6 to California Superbike School. I had it sprung for a 175lb rider and said that I would do only a few track days a year, so...
How's it going fellow riders,
Just introducing myself to the forum, and I noticed this site has an abundant amount of information. I see my self spending some nights soaking it up haha. I have been riding for about 4 years now and have owned a handful of bikes. The first being an 06 Zzr 600, 12...
Recently had an oil change, less than 100miles.
1. Weather around is ranging 25-60F for the past few days. When I received the bike from the mechanic, after an oil change, I checked with our dipstick and get middle of the |X|X|X|X| on vehicle straight up.
After 60 miles, of so many cold starts...
Went for a day ride on Sunday. Together with a mate of mine we organised a days ride around Utrecht.
Leaving home the weather was great, blue skies and Sunshine but after riding the 40 minutes to the starting café in Abcoude we were shrouded in mist. Luckily during our half hour coffee break...

Joep our cat was killed on Monday night/ Tuesday morning.
He was poisoned by a guy in the street who put down poisoned chicken on a patch of public ground, next to his house. There has been 4 other cats who have been killed and a couple missing.
As you can imagine I'm devastated, especially...

Well I got my 98 FZS6 on the road a few days ago and because of clutch slip issues I only really had 1 days use out of her.
After the clutch was sorted and I thought I'd learnt the clutch/throttle balance fairly well and I'd been getting on great on this 2nd day, seemed to have the pulling...
Now this looks cool. Too bad they left the digital gauges in place. Sheesh.

I'd love to see Yamaha put out a lighter weight, less expensive version of the BMW R Nine-T. While the BMW is way overpriced for what it is, it's one of the best looking bikes out these days...
India, a tropical country, facing very bad HeatWave for past few days, forcing people to stay at home, melting roads, taking away 100's of lives.
I've never expected this kind of bad weather in my Country. I'm scared of next few days and next year too.
Photos of India's Deadly...
For sale is this excellent condition set of swingarm pivot plugs; Natural aluminum finish. Forum member dako81 was fabricating these back in the early days of the FZ6; great quality product!
Not many of these kicking around these days.

This week I'm in training for my new job, learning a CAD program called SolidWorks.. It's a brainbuster, hard, insanely fun, and I have a damn migraine after just three days. I think I'll be loving this new job, once I get through the learning curve!
Hi guys,
Ive had my 2005 fz6 stored in a warehouse all winter and would start it up now and then and it worked fine.
I brought it home last week on a 50 degree day , I dont havea garage so its out in a fenced area.
I tried starting it a few days later and now it seems like the...
Like the title says does anyone have a R6S? If so how does it compare to the FZ6? My only experience is on a 2006 R6R and a 2014 R6R.
I'm thinking about picking up a R6 to park next to my FZ6 in the garage. I'd use it for track days and the occasional back road blast.
I really want the...
Hello UK riders,
The hubby and I are planning a 10 day to 2 week trip in April of 2015 to the UK and I am hoping you all can help with some ideas of what we must see and do. We are thinking of spending a few days in London to site-see (we've been to other parts of Europe but not the UK)...
Had some time the other weekend. We really wanted to ride down Skyline Drive and Blue Ridge Parkway to Fontana, but with the weather, lack of lodging availability, and our time constraints we just loaded the bike up in the trailer and headed out. Two days just isn't enough time. I've been to the...
Happened so fast I didn't know what happened! Blah I am taking delivery in a few days....
Expect to see S2 parts and extras on sale soon :spank:
As far as this forum - I ain't going nowhere!
This has been around the web for years and I'd thought I'd put it out for a giggle. Anyone who has done track days should get a kick out of it. Enjoy!
