I like the site alot as well.

I do think we should start filling the FAQ with FAQ and the answers.

As we grow we might look into meeting places.
Points for meeting each other and taking a photo with a FZ. West coast riders and east coast riders each pick a place to present the yearly winner with the award.
Its really fun, and gives people a reason to ride, and you can meet people that become friends.

I mean it would be cool as hell to see a group of 25-50 fz6s running thru deals gap, or up and down the pacific coast highway wouldnt it?

The way it would work is winner would have to work to meet the most people and travel the most to do it.

Bonus points for meets over 500 miles from home. Bonus points for multiple meets. Like 4 people meet, its two points each person, but if one had rode from 500 miles away its a extra two points.

I just want to keep that in people minds. I know it cant start untill we get more people on the site, at least 4 or 5 hundred members with a good solid core group.

Also it would be cool to have more ride reports from members. I love reading about where other people go, and what they see. I may never get a chance to ride in California, or Oregon, or Canada. If you can show us east side folks what its like out there.

That sound like fun to me. Also, Steve had a really good thread a while back that asked for pictures of interesting stuff from where member live but it never took off. I admit I haven't sent any pics to it yet but I'm going to soon. I think it or something like it wolud make a neat sticky thread.

Now for my dumb idea. We could have a "Hall of Shame" section for members who scuff/drop/hopefully not crash their bikes. You know, for people who had a brain fart like I did and laid my bike over in the driveway because I was too busy flaping my jaw at my friend and didn't check to make sure my kickstand was out all the way before getting off my bike. Pics of the damage could be posted along with words of wisdom from the victims of "Mean old Mister Gravity" This area would not be ment to embarrass anyone and would be completely for fun and information on how not to do things. I have a small old wooden horse figurine that's too ugly to use as decoration at my house. It could be mailed(like a trophy) cheeply from member to member as each mishap gets posted so that they could take a pic with it to put in the "Hall of Shame" kind of like the Stanly Cup. I thought that might be fun and give the members who have had mishaps some sort of camaraderie by having their mugs shot with the wooden horse. Worst case is you'd lose a little face and pay a few bucks to mail the figurine to the next member and that's if it had to go over seas. Kind of "Roaming Nome" style if you know what I mean. The wooden horse may be too complex but it's just a thought.:)

Maybe we should set up somekind of convention, not really making anyone ride a great distance, but just fly to some convenient destination..........like Las Vegas?

on XlR8R's idea, the best one can have their title be Crash untill someone else does better. LOL

I aint going back to Vegas man. I went there once for a investment convention at the Rio.
I do not fit in there. Not at all.
Some dude dressed as a woman came and hit on me.
I went for a walk and people kept handing newspapers of hookers.
Rode the skyshot thing atop the needle casino. It made me turn green, and want to die.
Nope just not the place for me. LOL

I wouldn't mind visiting Las Vegas. You just wait and see, I'll get myself to that continent some day. LOL And if you ever get to this part of the world, let me know.

Filling up the FAQ is a good idea. We've had some good questions and answers here, they just need to be collected. A few everyday questions that I have heard asked many times are like
- why the break-in period and first service should be done carefully
- what is the chirping noise in certain RPM or gear (I've found some good answers to this, needs translating though)
- best way to get a dropped bike back up (my vote goes to that lady, whose video wrightme43 posted)
- which is the fastest colour ( :Flip: )

And keep those riding stories coming!

I like the wooden horse!! I agree with filling up the FAQ. I too like the rider stories!!! I just thought about an odometer poker game we played on a group ride, we could do something like that, have everyone take a photo of their odometer and post it worst hand buys best hand a cheap souverior or something from there area, or something like that.

Make it more visible on search engines.
We need to accumulate more facts and data, especially information that is available from other sites on the internet
Maybe a photo section?
Put "How to" info as stickies or subforums in the "mods" and "technical".

Mate the hall of shame is an excellent idea. We could do a poll with say the top 5 of the quarter and get members to vote on (your words) the best brain fart. If you took a picture of the ugly wooden horse, we could just print it off and hold it up as a self nomination. There are a lot more members in the west than in the UK & Europe. That would mean we could all participate. The acumination could be an international brain fart award where we actually fed ex the ugly horse to the annual winner.

Some of my favorites.

They are also some of my faves :)

Site is already fantastic but the "Hall of shame sounds great" .... With me being an utter novice I may well be penciled in for a lead role ;)

My cornering skills need a little work :Flash:

Hi Jonac, I reckon I could beat you to the first prize as my mates also call me "Calamity Nell" and when spoken about in the second tense my mate "bad luck". Would defo be good to get of the ground though.
