Making a little progress. Had an accident pushing it onto the lift - thankfully nothing was damaged other than a small scratch on the engine of the Triumph. I neglected to notice that the chock was closed when I pushed the bike up - no problem, started rolling it back and that is when the kickstand caught the transition and flung the FZ750 and me to the right. Luckily I caught the Triumph - that would have really pissed me off.

In any event back end is pretty much done. Tire, chain, rear brakes, master. Working on rebuilding the clutch master and slave - which is why the bike was parked in first place. $65 worth of kits and it'll all be fine. Then will move back the the carbs. I broke a float "platform" on one by dropping it - got a replacement body off ebay so should be good to go.

Carbs done, clutch MC/Slave rebuilt now. Waiting on some new brake lines and clutch lines - one of the brake lines had been rubbing on something for a long time. Forks got taken apart, cleaned, new oil and seals. Front wheel got new bearings because they were full of water, new front tire. Got it fired up this weekend and after it shot the mouse nests out of the exhaust it idled well. One of the intermediate pipes that is part of the right muffler has a rust hole - need to remove that and see if it is repairable/sleeveable or if I need to find another one.

Mechanically the FZ750 seems all good now. Been working on fixing all the cracked plastics and got the rear end all painted and re-stickered. Still need to finish the cowl and do the tank.

Yeah 2007 FJR1300. That is one of my main bikes, won't be selling that anytime soon.

I designed the left side helmet lock bracket / BMW outlet on my friends '07 way back in 2007.
The ONLY maroon FJR produced..

Its a 10 foot paint job and I didn't follow the factory color scheme exactly. But looks better than the blue it was.

The next is the one on the lift. Nothing exciting there though. Got a pair of chinese 200cc dirt bikes off CL and there was enough good parts to make 1. Still fiddling with the carb, only wants to run on choke at the moment. That one is just a - get it running and pass it on the the next guy.

Next one is done. Done just means that it runs and rides, no plans to do anything more to it. I do have to say that it is a pretty fun little toy, but with no title - I personally have no place that I could ride it. It'll get passed on to someone who has some land to ride on.

Days of sandblasting and a couple days left. Put the primer on the frame, should be able to start priming other stuff this weekend

I was thinking some kind of stamped steel Honda as well. I love those old bikes. If I can find one that is complete I’d like to restore one as well.

Honestly I could buy one already done for what this is gonna wind up costing me. Sport Wheels is a local bike junkyard that also fixes up bikes for sale. https://www.sportwheel.com/collections/hondas

Their enormous junkyard is even more dangerous. It is fun sifting through 20 thousand carbs or so in an open shed looking for the one you want.

Got the replacement (used) ebay tach today and it sorta verifies that the wiring on the bike is OK. Except that the tach is really lazy. If you hold the rpms long enough it'll catch up, but we're talking like 10 seconds. So - given that. Going to see if I can figure out how to take apart the bad one first and see if one or both just need a little lube - or if I need to find another.

Maybe small spiders got into the Ebay tach,built a few webs inside the mech.,unless it's sealed
