Thanks for all the offers, I will take you up on that. I think we are planning another trip down some time in June or July.

As to tapatalk, I have it for the iPhone/iTouch and love it.

It makes it really easy to view and reply quickly and lag free.

You can download it from Mobilism.org to give it a try risk free.

I'm in the St. Louis area for the weekend. The weather said all rain and thunder so I caged it down. I would still like to see about getting together sometime maybe for food someplace local.

PM sent to you with my cell number. Rain or shine, let's plan to meet up!
(Father's day is Sunday, so that is out for me, going on a road trip with my Dad.)

I'm in Earth City area.
If you are listening to any local radio, keep an ear out for "Surdyke Motorsports" commercials. You'll hear my deep radio voice! LOL I have been doing commercials for the shop for a few months now.

WhoM3 (who me?) came down to St Louis for a visit, and we went to the Fitz's Rootbeer Factory/restaurant.
Lots of good food, dessert, and conversation, and we had the waitress snap a photo to share with you all.

Looking forward to doing it again soon! :D

Wish I could have made it... but you guys missed a pretty good time in Fenton this afternoon. This is my son standing next to Jason Brittons bike.

Hi St Louis friends,

I will be in town on my way back to Minneapolis from Jonesboro on Thursday, July 7th. Is anyone willing to go with an Astros fan to a Cardinals game? I have heard awesome things about Busch Stadium and love baseball. I will be on my FZ6 so we can go for an area ride if y'all wanted to take me on a tour around the city.

PM me or post on my visitor messages on my page if you're interested.

Thanks,
Chupacabra

Tonight is bike night at Tilted Kilt in Arnold. I will be there along with some other locals. Hope to see some of you there, too.

Let's refresh the thread! We ARE having a bit of a warm winter, after all! :)

Just popping my head up to see if there are any other FZ6 owners still in the STL area. I just sold my 1996 Bandit 600 about 3 weeks ago, after I bought a blue '07 FZ6 with 8700 miles on it in the second week of January. The Bandit had about 54K miles on it when I sold it, and I hope to get at least that much out of the FZ6, if not more.

Took it out for a brief 130 mile ride a few weeks ago on a sunny 60-degree day, and immediately realized what modifications I need to do to the blue beast.
Bar Risers (at least an inch, maybe will get the one with the one-inch pullback as well)
I did a gel insert on my Bandit's seat before. I'm thinking I can probably do the same to this bike.
The suspension in the forks seem a bit harsh. Does anyone have any experience in changing that at all? I put Progressive fork springs in the Bandit when I had it, which seemed to help with the brake dive & soaking up the bumps in the road.

ha..... anyway, I have a whole laundry list of mods I want to do to this bike to set it up for touring. I already have a couple of groups I ride with on occasion, but I mostly go solo. However, once the weather gets nicer, I think it'd be fun to get some other STL riders together, say for a Bixby or an Augusta run. :D

I'm sort of near the St. Louis area. I go to school in Rolla MO. I'm also a member of stlryderz forum per Elizabeth. Lol. Also, does anyone know of any bike nights you go to that are NOT on Tuesday or Thursday nights? I'd be willing to ride to St. Louis, but I have class those 2 nights.

I'm part of two groups: The Gateway Rockers and The Euro Motor Union.
Every Wednesday is Bike night with the Rockers, they're an open membership (not bike-specific) and a great group from all backgrounds....a lot of dirt/dual-sport riders frequent the group too.
In the summer they meet at the Sonic across from Doc's Harley-Davidson at the corner of Big Bend & Lindbergh at 6pm. In the winter, the meet-ups vary according to suggestions posted on their Facebook page. Lookup Gateway Rockers of St. Louis.
The Euro Motor Union has once-monthly meetings (first Tuesday of the month) at the Triumph Grill, and they have a casual meet up every Saturday morning at 8am the Steak N Shake at 44 & Lindbergh. Again, not terribly bike or make specific, but these guys can RIDE! Of course, I'm probably one of the youngest ones there. Euro Motor Union of Greater St. Louis. They're also on Facebook.
These really are fun, down to earth groups to socialize, learn from & ride with. Hope to see you at one of their meetings! :)

I am between Fenton and Arnold at Hwy 21. Look forward to getting some more riding in. Last year I didn't get near enough seat time and hope to correct that this year. I am also a member on stlryderz.com although a mostly silent one, and also there because of Beth. :)

We should be able to round up at least 5 or 6 FZ6 riders from the area to go out on a little back road adventure. I know I am ready!!

Would be cool to get a group of us with the same bikes to meet from time to time. As much as I would like to get a a Ducati Monster or a Speed Triple I think I will be with my trusty FZ6 for quite some time.
