That's find and dandy for someone in that area, but I'm in Southern California. I don't mind traveling for a bike, but that's just a little too far. There was one for $3300, I emailed today only to be told it sold the same day (yesterday). Gotta be on the ball something fierce.
Is the 07 worth paying $500-$1K more than an 06? I've been tentatively looking at CL and I can find nice 06 FZ6's for about $3600 or less with low miles. The 07+ are all going for over $4200. I know what the physical differences are, but is it that big?
Sorry to hear about this man. I'm not a fan of Icon gear at all, not very good quality gear from what I've seen/heard. However, I'm interested to see how it held up or didn't as it were. If you commute a lot I'd recommend getting a good quality pant/jacket combo that zip to each other. I have...
I barely watched your videos now and man I gotta say, you're going pretty slow. I'm not fast by any means and perhaps it's because it was only your 2nd time on this road, but I've never ridden that slow on this road or any other like it. Are you going slow because you're scared or because you...
Thanks for the great write up/comparo! I had written off the Versys a while back as a nice bike, but just not the one I wanted. I had a Ninja 500R and had sworn I'd never get a parallel-twin again. Then I found an old Rider magazine I had with an article about the '09. Got to thinking again and...
Awesome, awesome info, thank you!
I have to sell my current bike before I can buy another, but I'll keep this info in mind. Thank you again!
That's a really good price. How did you verify it was a good bike without seeing it in person? I'm thinking I might do something similar, so just interested in how to verify you aren't buying a lemon.
I don't see why it couldn't be done rather easily. Just swap the front end for R6 forks or just put in some springs and emulators (if they're available for FZ6's?). Then get some race rearsets, take off the center-stand, and call it a day. I don't own an FZ, but I've ridden one and don't see why...
Oh come on man, you haven't figured it out yet? It's because Europe and Japan want to keep all the cool stuff to themselves! :BLAA:
It isn't until years later we get the stuff they've had for a decade at least. It's been the case with cars for a long time.
Not sure if this will help, but I searched another car forum I frequent and found this link: Transport Reviews.com - Ratings and Reviews of Auto Transport Companies - Your Source For Finding a Quality Auto Transporter!

I don't doubt that, but as someone who LOVES German cars and owns one, I do not want a BMW nor have I ever. They are great handling cars no doubt, but I'd rather buy a nice 993 911 instead. MUCH better car for the money if you want a performance orientated car.
OUCH!! Glad to hear you're ok, but how did you high-side at 40mph and not have any serious injury? A girl on another board high-sided at about 30mph and fractured her shoulder. Did you land on some grass? Again, glad you're ok, let the modding begin! :BLAA: hahaha, just had to use that one!
I think it's mostly just the name. Honestly, they have some cool technological things, but for what they are, like their cars, they're just overpriced. I liked the F800ST, but you can get a VFR or comparable bike for less and have a better performing bike. Lot's of people who had their GS series...
